Babul Bhayo is arrested over illegal transaction of Rs 56 lac from his account.
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 29th August, 2018) An Accountability Court on Wednesday arrested former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Babul Bhayo from Shikarpur.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Babul Bhayo over illegal transaction of Rs 56 lac from his account. Babul Bhayo has been sent on a physical remand till September 10.
During the hearing of the money laundering case, Babul Bhayo’s counsel said that the NAB has taken two vehicles of his client into custody, which are not property in the case while NAB refuted and said that the vehicles taken in custody are a property in the case.
Babul Bhayo was undergoing an inquiry in the NAB for a year.
The NAB has started interrogation from Bhayo after taking him in custody. Bhayo has however denied the allegations levelled against him terming them false and baseless.
He said this case dates back to 2016 when he himself went to NAB office.
“Such cases are only meant to threaten our party president,” he said, adding the case made against him is of a transaction of Rs 56 lac while NAB can’t make such a case if the amount is less than Rs 5 crore.
