MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th August, 2018) A convertible from Russia's Kortezh project is expected to be featured in the country's annual Victory Day parade in 2020, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said Wednesday.

"Regarding the convertible: yes, the task is set, and our colleagues are working on it. On May 9, it will definitely [be featured], the question is of what year. I can't promise that it will be 2019, but I can definitely promise this for 2020," Manturov told reporters during a presentation of Russian luxury car Aurus Senat.

The Kortezh project envisages the creation of luxury cars for top state officials. Russian President Vladimir Putin became the first owner of a Kortezh car, which was used during his inauguration ceremony in May. The vehicles are expected to be available for sale to the general public from the first quarter of 2019.
