Moved by PM Imran’s vision, Pakistani doctor in Britain decides to return home

Says I will serve my country and its people with my services and expertise

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 29th August, 2018) More and more overseas Pakistanis are deciding to return home after the new government is installed.

A Pakistani-Britain doctor has decided to return to the country expressing confidence on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government.

In his video message uploaded on social media, Dr Imran Tabassum said that he is a doctor in Britain and also works as a scientist in a university.

“I have been observing the elections and the change in Pakistan. I have carefully listened to Imran Khan and am impressed by his vision,” he said.

“After much consideration, I have decided that I will go to Pakistan to serve my country and its people with my services and expertise,” the doctor added.

I have confirmed my ticket to Pakistan. I request you all to stand by Imran Khan and unite for this country, he further said.

Earlier, a Pakistani doctor living in the US for ten years decided to come back to the country after selling his US property while a woman appointed to a top management position in the UAE government also decided to return Pakistan to serve her country.

Prime Minister Imran Khan in his maiden 70-minute long address to the nation shared his vision for the "Naya Pakistan" that focuses on rooting out corruption, providing swift justice, reviving economy and supremacy of the law, to materialize his dream of a welfare state like that of Madina.

The prime minister spelt out at length his plans for the reformation of the country that has been mired in over Rs 28,000 billion loans in the past decade. Imran Khan while giving a brief outline about the current dismal state of things, where the national economy was in a shambles and all sectors were in decline, said instead of begging foreign countries for loans, the people of Pakistan needed to sacrifice and stand on their own feet.

He had made an impassioned appeal to the overseas Pakistanis to send in their remittances through banking channels and have their US Dollar accounts in Pakistani banks to bolster the country's forex reserves.
