MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th August, 2018) Russia does not see threats from the first round of new US anti-Russian sanctions for the defense industry, but the second round may actually freeze relations, State Duma international affairs committee chief Leonid Slutsky said Friday.
"Russian experts do not see catastrophic threats from the first round of sanctions for the Russian defense industry sector, we have long been working for import substitution. But if it comes to the second round, it will nearly be a freeze in relations if not a trade war. I am convinced our response measures will be timely and appropriate," Slutsky told reporters.
