MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th August, 2018) Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar have discussed stabilization of the situation in Syria and defense industry cooperation between the two countries at talks in Moscow, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"Today, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu held a meeting with Defense Minister of Turkey Hulusi Akar and Turkish National Intelligence Organization Director Hakan Fidan, who came to Moscow with a working visit. The defense ministers continued the substantive dialogue on the situation in Syria at a bilateral meeting in Moscow, during which the Russian side had made proposals to the Turkish counterparts regarding the settlement of the situation in the republics northwest," the ministry told reporters.
Besides, the two officials have addressed the issues of regional security and further development of bilateral defense industry cooperation, the ministry noted.
