ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 16th Aug, 2018) The Department of Culture and Tourism- Abu Dhabi and Bait Al Oud organised a blood donation campaign.
Organised in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Blood Bank, the campaign witnessed the participation of teachers and students of Bait Al Oud.
The Campaign comes within the framework of Bait Al Oud's community outreach plan, aimed at encouraging public participation and promoting the values of giving back to the community by donating blood.
Goodwill Ambassador for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, IFRC, and Director of Bait Al Oud, Dr. Naseer Shamma, first launched the campaign at Bait Al Oud.
DCT Abu Dhabi founded Bait Al Oud Abu Dhabi in 2008 to spread knowledge and awareness about music and its history, as well as provide a platform fostering creativity and innovation to enhance the role of music in Abu Dhabi’s cultural landscape.
Bait Al Oud is dedicated to the preservation of classical Arabic songs and techniques associated with the oud, and other important traditional instruments including the qanun, cello, violin and rababah. It also offers music lessons in these instruments, Arabic singing, and certificate-awarding courses.
