ANKARA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th August, 2018) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed in phone talks on Wednesday the relations between the two countries,�a source in the Turkish presidential administration said.
"During today's talks, Tayyip Erdogan and Angela Merkel discussed bilateral relations and regional issues, primarily the situation in Syria. The two leaders also touched upon the upcoming visit of our president to Berlin in late September," the source said.
"Chancellor Merkel stressed that strong economy in Turkey is important for Germany," the source added.
