According to sources, Muhammad Zubair will announce his resignation in a press conference tomorrow.
Sources said that the Sindh governor is resigning over irregularities in elections.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has stood victorious in all five National Assembly seats while his party has emerged as the largest political force in general elections 2018.
However, just as the party took majority, it decided on Friday to remove Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) governors and bring its own governors.
The decision was taken after consultation with the senior party leadership.
According to sources, the PTI had decided to remove the governors due to their affiliation with the PMLN. Rafiq Rajwana in Punjab, Zafar Iqbal Jhagra in KP and Muhammad Zubair in Sindh are considered among top PMLN leaders.
