Matiari (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians candidate Makhdoom Rafik Zaman has won PS-59 with 46320 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians candidate won in PS-59 Matiari-II constituency with 46320 votes. In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians candidate Muhammad Nawaz Chandio was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 38315 votes.
The second runner up was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Muhammad Ismail Rahu who got 36966 votes. At least 13 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PS-59. In 2013 elections, there were 136377 voters registered in PS-59, out of which 80648 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 59.13 %.
