Dera Ghazi Khan (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Javed Akhtar has won PP-287 with 42593 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in PP-287 Dera Ghazi Khan-III constituency with 42593 votes. In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate MIAN MUHAMMAD islam ASLAM was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 30258 votes.
The second runner up was Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians candidate COL.(R) NAVEED SAJID who got 19334 votes. At least 20 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-287. In 2013 elections, there were 138704 voters registered in PP-287, out of which 83620 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 60.29 %.
