Rahimyar Khan (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht has won PP-261 with 38034 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in PP-261 Rahimyar Khan-VII constituency with 38034 votes. In 2013 general elections, Independent candidate Aamir Talal Khan was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 41925 votes.
The second runner up was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Syed Muhammad Qaim Ali Shah Shamsi who got 26804 votes. At least 9 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-261. In 2013 elections, there were 132206 voters registered in PP-261, out of which 83213 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 62.94 %.
