Multan (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Mazhar Abbas Raan has won PP-218 with 45817 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in PP-218 Multan-VIII constituency with 45817 votes. In 2013 general elections, Independent candidate Nawabzada Abdul Razzaq Khan Niazi was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 34738 votes.
The second runner up was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Peer Muhammad Jameel Shah who got 33033 votes. At least 18 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-218. In 2013 elections, there were 162989 voters registered in PP-218, out of which 104493 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 64.11 %.
