ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2018) The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation, FANR, Chairman was decorated with Japan's Order of the Rising Sun.
On 29th April 2018, the Government of Japan announced the conferment of decoration, the Order of the Rising Sun, by the Emperor of Japan on Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi, Chairman of FANR, in recognition of his meritorious contributions in fostering relations between Japan and the United Arab Emirates.
The decoration award ceremony in honour of Al Suwaidi was held on 23rd July at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi. The service was hosted by Ambassador of Japan to the UAE, Kanji Fujiki, in the presence of Al Suwaidi’s family and friends, Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Industry, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and ADNOC Group CEO, officials from the Abu Dhabi and UAE governments, and representatives of Japanese private companies and entities in Abu Dhabi.
Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of enhancing friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries especially in the oil and gas sector, as well as advancing partnerships and exchange of human knowledge and expertise between the UAE and Japan.
