Says we can become a great democratic country under his leadership
Rawalpindi (Pakistan Point News – 21st July, 2018) Following Waqar Younis, legendary cricketer Waseem Akram has also extended support to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former cricketer Imran Khan in the upcoming general elections.
In a tweet on Saturday, Waseem Akram said that Pakistan became a world champion in 1992 under Imran Khan’s leadership and we can again become a great democratic country under his leadership.
“It was in your leadership skip @ImrankhanPTI that we became world champions in 1992. It is in your leadership that we can again become a great democratic country. #voteforkapatan#nayapakistan” he wrote.
Earlier, Pakistan’s pace bowling legend Waqar Younis had extended his support to Imran Khan in the upcoming general elections.
In his tweet on Friday, Waqar Younis said it is time to bring a change in Pakistan. He wished all the best to skipper Imran Khan in the upcoming elections, adding that we are all behind him.
“Will it be Easy ??? Nope.. Will it Worth it ??? Absolutely.. Enough is Enough..Time to bring Change #PAKISTAN All the Best in the upcoming elections Skipper,,We are all behind you @ImranKhanPTI” he wrote.
The general elections are scheduled to be held on July 25. Imran Khan’s slogan of change is already attracting many people while he has bolstered support from various segments of society.
