The Dubai Maritime City Authority, DMCA, recently welcomed a high-level delegation from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, MBRF, headed by Chief Executive Officer, Jamal Bin Huwaireb, to its headquarters.

DUBAI, (Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2018) The Dubai Maritime City Authority, DMCA, recently welcomed a high-level delegation from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, MBRF, headed by Chief Executive Officer, Jamal Bin Huwaireb, to its headquarters.

The meeting between both parties was part of their mutual commitment to exchange expertise, enrich knowledge, and integrate the activities of local government entities to cement Dubai's leadership. This is in line with the vision of the wise leadership to catapult Dubai into the ranks of the world’s developed countries.

Amer Ali, Executive Director of the DMCA, received the delegates. He stressed that the meeting enabled the two sides to discuss ways to advance knowledge in the emirate as he reiterated the local maritime authority’s commitment to making knowledge enrichment a national and strategic priority through its unique initiatives such as the Dubai Maritime Intelligence. The move is seen to transform Dubai into "a strong competitor on the international maritime map."

Ali added the visit served as a strong push to unify and guide government efforts according to the global aspirations of Dubai and the UAE. He also praised the foundation’s projects designed to build knowledge and nurture human expertise and leadership skills for a better future. This is in line with the DMCA’s efforts to deepen maritime knowledge and train qualified personnel to enhance their capability to shape the maritime industry’s future based on the solid pillars of innovation, knowledge, sustainability, and smart transformation.

The maritime authorities reviewed the most important achievements of Dubai as it bids to become one of the world’s most competitive and attractive maritime capitals. The foundation’s delegation was briefed on efforts to develop the maritime, logistics, and operational services, with a focus on integrating maritime security, safe navigation and operational efficiencies to achieve a sustainable and integrated marine sector in Dubai.
