Awami National Party’s (ANP) provincial assembly candidate Bahadur Khan had attacked the rally
Lower Dir (Pakistan Point News – 14th July, 2018) At least five persons were injured in an attack on Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) rally led by Sirajul Haq in Lower Dir on Saturday.
According to details, shots were fired and stones were thrown at the JI rally from Awami National Party’s (ANP) provincial assembly candidate Bahadur Khan’s haveli.
Sirajul Haq remained safe in the attack; however, his car was damaged due to stoning.
Moreover, five of JI workers were also injured.
Condemning the attack on Sirajul Haq’s rally, JI information secretary Qaiser Sharif said that the JI youth wing rally was being carried out from Manda Dir to Timergara when it was attacked from Bahadur Khan’s haveli.
The police has registered a case against five workers each of both the parties.
