Matric position holder from Bannu donates cash prize in dams fund

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 12th July, 2018) A student from Bannu has announced to donate the money prize he received upon getting a position in Matric exams to the dams fund.

This student from Lakki Marwat was given a cash prize for getting a position in matric exams. He has however announced to donate it for the construction of dams.

As the news went viral on social media, people lauded his enthusiasm and patriotism.

The student named as Muhammad has set a precedent for fellow students and other elderly.

Meanwhile, nine-year-old Ali Sher donated Rs 10,000 for the dams fund by saving his pocket money and selling his toys.

The trend was started by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar who donated Rs 10 lac for the construction of dams.

Following the chief justice, ISPR DG Major General Asif Ghafoor said on Monday that the officers of Pakistan Army, Navy and Air Force would contribute their two-day pay, while soldiers one-day pay for this national cause.

Acting President Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani also announced a donation of Rs1.5 million in the funds meant for the construction of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand dams.

Meanwhile, Habib Bank Ltd has announced to donate Rs 10 crore for the construction of dams while the employees of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) announced to contribute their one-day salary in the construction of Bhasha and Mohmand dams.

Officers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government will contribute their three-day salary to the fund for the construction of Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams.
