The Pakistanis allegedly stole Rs 46 crore from an armoured truck
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 5th July, 2018) At least seven Pakistanis accused of stealing Rs 46 crore have been arrested in Dubai.
According to reports on international media, the seven Pakistanis have been arrested over accusation of stealing Rs 46 crore in cash from an armoured truck. The armoured truck belonged to a cash transfer company.
The three Pakistani drivers working in the company have also been arrested who will be interrogated further. The Pakistani drivers have been arrested for allegedly having contacts with the criminals while four other persons were arrested for providing logical support.
The authorities said that the arrested persons will be send back to the country after they complete their legal punishment.
The Pakistanis arrested over theft charges can face a jail time of three years and can only return Pakistan after completing this sentence.
The law enforcement agencies after viewing the CCTV footage conducted raids in adjacent areas and arrested the Pakistani drivers. One of the arrested drivers is aged 30 while the other is 39-year-old.
The law enforcement agencies are further investigating into the matter. CCTV footages are also being viewed to recognise the accused and observe the activities of Pakistani drivers.
