Says we Pakistanis are sorry to Mufti Menk for this embarrassment from an attention seeker
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 1st July, 2018) Reham Khan, the ex-wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, had recently shared her picture photoshopped in a beard.
Sharing her edited picture where she has a beard grown on her face, Reham said, “So a while ago I was offered to join a party. I said I might not be able to cover my face but I could grow a beard..looks rather fetching on me.”
In another tweet targeting PTI that has been widely criticising her for her upcoming book, she said, “Dear PTI I am looking for someone to edit my Book cover....wanna help?”
The picture soon sparked an outrage on social media.
Reham on the other hand had defended it by calling it her 'British humor' and a ‘medical joke’.
“My British humour is misunderstood. There are only a couple of men in my family who do not have beards. I was making a joke about my age & hormones. It's a medical joke,” she said.
However, what gave it a whole new turn was Mufti Ismail Menk who heavily trolled Reham for using his picture to photoshop. Mufti Menk also suggested a clinic for Reham to sort out her beard issue.
“I've never visited Pakistan and I don't follow it's politics but one thing I know is ilea laser clinic in Rondebosch CapeTown can sort out your issue...” he replied to Reham’s picture.
Mufti Menk was even more savage to her calling it a 'medical joke'.
“I only noticed this "medical" humour because it was MY photo that the sister superimposed herself on to. I had no clue who she was until a few hours ago. So I responded with similar humour... lol” he wrote.
Reham tried taking it with grace and said, "I am grateful to the political party who photoshopped my picture & I get a comment from you sir. I am a huge admirer of your gentle preaching style. Please pray for Pakistan. We are going through a very difficult phase."
"A political leader was caught doing a sajda ( prostrating )at a holy shrine. I pointed out that it is wrong as we must only do sajda towards the Qibla. Since then the abuse has gone up a level. I can only smile in response. May Allah forgive them," she added.
To Mufti's reply of medical joke, Reham responded, “No. I would never dream of doing this. I am currently facing cyber bullying by a political party and they photo shop my pics to abuse & threaten me on a regular basis.”
Hamza Ali Abbasi jumped up in this exchange of comments, making it even more interesting. The actor was rather sorry to Mufti Menk for this embarrassment.
“Thr u go Reham, u got some attention, happy now? @muftimenk We Pakistanis are sorry for this embarrassment from an attention seeker who is only talked abt in media sometimes because she is Imran Khan's ex wife,” he said.
