IVPD project arranges one-week hands-on training workshop on “Dairy Animal Clinical Examination and Equine Lameness” at UVAS’s Ravi Campus

The project titled“In-service Training Facility of Advance Veterinary Education and Professional Development for Veterinary Professionals (IVPD)”

LAHORE (Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2018 ) The project titled“In-service Training Facility of Advance Veterinary education and Professional Development for Veterinary Professionals (IVPD)” funded by the Punjab government (IVPD)organised one-week hands-on Clinical Training Program on “Dairy Animal Clinical Examination and Equine Lameness”at UVAS Ravi Campus Pattokiunder the supervision of Meritorious Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and Project Director Dr Hafsa Zenab.

Foreign expert Dr Kamran Jahangir, director of Bank Street Animal Hospital at Ottawa, Canada, and also Partner of Emergency Hospital (OCEVH) having 16 years of clinical experience in the field of veterinary medicineis the trainer of this training. The objective of the training was to practically equip the trainees with most recent hands-on clinical skills in dairy, equine and small animals. The trainer will practically demonstrate the procedure of clinical examination of equines and dairy animals, anesthesia and its complications, critical care of animals, practical demonstration of CPR, various nerve blocks and equine lameness. Many UVAS faculty members, postgraduate students and representatives of private training institutes participated in the training.
