Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 21st June, 2018) In a first, the first officer and captain to fly a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane to Gilgit are both women.

Captain Maryam Masood and First Officer Shumaila Mazhar were all smiles as they were to fly the plane to Gilgit, a flight not too easy.
PIA also lauded female captain and first officer for taking their flight in a tweet.
“The flight to Gilgit is very challenging and requires a lot of precision and technique. Our dynamic duo, Captain Maryam Masood and First Officer Shumaila Mazhar make it look so easy as they fly through the mountains celebrating the beauty of our northern areas! Way to go!! #PIA,” the national airline said in a tweet.
