The army chief prays for her quick recovery
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 21st June, 2018) Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has expressed best wishes for ailing Kulsoom Nawaz.
The army chief sent her a bouquet and prayed for her quick recovery. Bajwa said in his message that he stands by Sharif family and Begum Kulsoom Nawaz in these tough times.
“May Allah grant her quick and full recovery,” he said.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan also extended prayers for Kulsoom Nawaz.
In a tweet last Friday, Khan said, “All our prayers are with Begum Kulsoom Nawaz. May Allah grant her Shifa e Kamila.”
The wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, was shifted to intensive care unit (ICU) of a London hospital after her condition further deteriorated on Thursday.
Sources said that Begum Kulsoom collapsed in the ICU after a cardiac arrest, and has not since regained consciousness. She has been kept on ventilator, life-support machine and emergency medicine.
The Sharif family has requested everyone to pray for Kulsoom Nawaz’s health.
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz are also in London as they were allowed by the court to visit the former first lady and then given four-day exemption.
