Pak-Tajikistan Need To Sign Agreement To Promote Tourism: Ambassador

Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2018) : Uzbek Ambassador to Pakistan, Furqat Siddiqov has said that people of Uzbekistan wanted to visit the historical, religious and tourist places in Pakistan and for that, there was need to have agreement between Tashkand and Islamabad. Talking to a news channel here on Sunday, Furqat Siddiqov said, "We want to have agreement between Tashkand and Islamabad to achieve this objective." He said that Pakistan and Uzbekistan enjoyed friendly relations and both the countries had similar history.

"We want to promote religious tourism between the two countries," the Ambassador said adding that a large number of Uzbek people wanted to visit Badshahi Mosque in Lahore. Inviting Pakistanis to visit his country, Siddiqov said Uzbekistan was the land of Tirmizi, Naqashbandi, Imam Bukhari, and other prominent religious scholars, while there were historical places including Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khewa, he added.
