Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Liaqat Baloch has said that after the failure of the Punjab Chief Minister and the leader of the opposition as also the parliamentary committee to agree on a caretaker Chief Minister for the province, it was the Election Commission's prerogative to nominate the caretaker CM for the province.
Lahore, (Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2018) : Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Liaqat Baloch has said that after the failure of the Punjab Chief Minister and the leader of the opposition as also the parliamentary committee to agree on a caretaker Chief Minister for the province, it was the Election Commission's prerogative to nominate the caretaker CM for the province. Talking to media persons here on Friday, Liaqat Baloch who is also Secretary General of the Muttahida Majlis e Amal (MMA) expressed hope that caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Dr.
Hasan Askari, would play the role of an independent and impartial during the elections. He said that the provincial parliamentary boards of the MMA had finalized their recommendation and the 10- member central parliamentary board of the MMA would take the final decision after which tickets would be issued. Liaqat Baloch said that the enforcement of the Nizame Mustafa was the only way to pull the country out of its present mess and solve the problems of the masses.
