AJMAN, (Pakistan Point News - 04th Jun, 2018) Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, asserted that the People of Determination are the best example of perseverance, resolve and challenging the conditions in order to live the dignified life, overcome the difficulties and go through life with strength and high diligence, as they are today a real base for those searching for hope despite the obstacles.
This took place during Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi’s inauguration of the initiative of equipping the "Smart Houses" for the People of Determination of those with hearing disabilities in the emirate with smart devices. He pledged to pay for the installation of these devices to 133 houses according to the accredited statistics registered at the Ministry of Community Development.
This initiative coincides with the Zayed Humanitarian Work Day which takes place on the 19th of Ramadan. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi began the activities of the initiative by visiting the Community Development Centre in the emirate of Ajman accompanied by Hessa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development; Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Port and Customs Department; Sheikha Azza bint Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director of the Humaid bin Rashid Charity Foundation; and the directors of the local departments in the emirate of Ajman, and with the participation of the UAE Deaf Association and 30 People of Determination.
He visited the house of Humaid Al Shamsi, the first deaf to have his house equipped with these smart devices in the emirate.
''Work is on to reach houses of all hearing-impaired persons registered with the ministry. We will pay the costs of these devices,'' he asserted.
