Says he has been made controversial in media by withdrawing his nomination
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 31st May, 2018) Former bureaucrat Nasir Mahmood Khosa has excused from taking the charge as caretaker chief minister of Punjab.
Talking exclusively to a private tv channel, Khosa said that he has been made controversial in media by withdrawing his nomination.
He said that baseless propaganda was done against him. It would have been better if the political parties had consulted each other before suggesting his name, he added.
The former chief secretary said that he cannot assume the charge of interim chief minister in view of the ongoing situation. Khosa further said that the caretaker chief minister ought to have the support of political parties to hold free and fair elections.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday decided to withdraw the name of Nasir Khosa for caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.
Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmoodur Rashid said in a statement that the PTI had decided to take back the name of Nasir Khosa and would suggest another name after consultation with the party leadership.
