Pak-China progress linked with development of Gwadar & CPEC: Sadiq Sanjrani

Acting President Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani has said that progress and prosperity of both Pakistan and China is directly linked to development of the Gwadar and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)

Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2018) : Acting President Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani has said that progress and prosperity of both Pakistan and China is directly linked to development of the Gwadar and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said that the Chinese companies would invest to the tune of Rs37 billion in Gwadar and industrialization in the area would commence in a six month time. The Acting President expressed these views during his visit to Gwadar on Tuesday.

Speaking after inaugurating water treatment plant in Gwadar, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani said that the Federal government is taking concrete measures for resolving the issues of the local community. He said that the water treatment plant would provide two hundred thousand gallons of clean water to the people of the area and said that Chinese company is collaborating to enhance its capacity upto three million gallons per day. Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani said that the Gwadar city is important for both the countries and the Chinese companies are heavily investing in the area as it would pave the way for rapid progress in both China and Pakistan.

The investment would help create 8 thousands employment opportunities in addition to opening the avenues for development of the area. Speaking on the occasion, Senator Kauda Babar said that the development of the CPEC is only possible with the uplifting of Gwadar and CPEC and without it real progress would be just a dream. Earlier, Acting President Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani visited Chinese Red Crescent Hospital in Gwadar where he was informed that nine Chinese doctors are attending around 200 patients of the area on daily basis and providing best possible medical facilities to them. The Acting President appreciated the cooperation and facilitations being extended by the Chinese peoples to the locals. He also held meetings with the representatives of the Chinese companies and notables of the area. He was briefed about different on-going development projects in the area.
