Politician to make official announcement after meeting Imran Khan
Karachi (Pakistan Point News – 10th May, 2018) In another blow to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), its Member National Assembly (MNA) Rana Umer Nazir has joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to media reports, the PMLN leader will make an official announcement in this regard after meeting PTI chairman Imran Khan at his Bani Gala residence today.
PTI’s Information Secretary Fawad Chaudhry has also confirmed the news.
Earlier, a group of 15 lawmakers from Punjab, belonging to PMLN, resigned and formed South Punjab Mahaz. The group integrated into PTI yesterday as announced in a press conference.
Many politicians have been quitting the party and joining PTI. Political analysts say that the bandwagoning suggests that the PTI is going to get a majority in the upcoming general elections of 2018.
Not only from PMLN but politicians belonging to other parties, including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have also joined PTI in the recent past. Among these politicians are PPP’s Babar Awan, Firdous Ashiq Awan and Nadeem Afzal Chan.
