Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad has said the PML-N government is committed to make the country financially strong and for the purpose mega projects of Gawadar seaport and CPEC have been launched.
Attock, (Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2018) .Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad has said the PML-N government is committed to make the country financially strong and for the purpose mega projects of Gawadar seaport and CPEC have been launched. congratulated the students for completing their studies successfully and urged them to shoulder the responsibilities for development and prosperity of the country. Addressing convocation at Comsats University here Friday, he said the present government accorded priority to education especially higher education and established new universities and colleges and made arrangements for the intelligent, poor and needy students to keep continue their studies.
He said that specially Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took revolutionary steps in this context and established PEEF (Punjab Education Endowment Fund) to help the students financially. He said that Gawadar port is near to its completion and construction work on CPEC is in full swing and after completion of these two projects, Pakistan will be in top ten countries of the world. Talking about development in Attock he said that in his constituency there are 275 villages and these villages has been provided gas facility and most of the areas are connected by metalled roads, agriculture university campus is under construction while establishment of medical college is u der consideration.
Earlier, in his welcome address Director Comsats Abdul Rehman highlighted the achievements of the institute. He said that this is the 18th convocation and today degrees are being awarded to 316 students which include 189 male and 127 female students. He said that this institutes has stated of the art laboratories , better security arrangements and highly qualified teaching staff. This university was established in 2004 and thousand of students have been graduated while at present more than two thousand students are studying here.
