According to a report published in a local newspaper, experts said that drinking water for the people of Lahore will end in 10 years. The report of a British Broadcasting Company states that city’s population is over 1 crore while the level of underground water is decreasing by 2.5 feet annually. The water 100 feet below the ground level is polluted and 700 feet boring is being done for clean water. Moreover, there is no water 1000 feet below the ground.

The citizens said that water is not clean in Lahore. It is only used for washing clothes and dishes.

According to Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), arrangements have been made to carry water from canal and rivers and the water issues of the city will probably be resolved.
