The chief justice had taken a suo motu notice on luxury cars provided to the government officers
Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2018) Reporting to a private tv channel, a journalist told that the chief justice had taken a suo motu notice on luxury cars provided to the government officers. Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar had asked for details of all the people who were using these cars without being authorized to do so. Following this, the government luxury vehicles were revealed to be hidden in Punjab. The reporter told that the chief justice said during the hearing that 27 luxury cars have been hidden in the basement of 7-C building at MM Alam Road in Lahore.
These are the cars that were brought in the pretext of Clean Water Initiative. Most of the government officers and bureaucrats were using these cars but were hidden after the suo motu notice. The Supreme Court has demanded for a record in this regard. Ordering for details, the chief justice asked the Attorney General to tell who ordered to hide these cars in the basement?
