Sher Muhammad protested that he has been fined for not giving free ice-cream to the warden, which is sheer injustice
Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2018) A traffic warden in Garhi Shahu area of Lahore challaned an ice-cream seller for not giving him a free ice-cream. According to media reports, the incident took place outside Queen Marry College on Wednesday. The traffic warden took an ice-cream from Faisalabad’s Sher Muhammad but refused to pay him. When Sher Muhammad insisted, warden Bilal Ahmad gave him challan no. 18345 of Rs 200 citing ‘applied for’ code for motorcycle.
The warden wrote motorcycle instead of cycle on the challan slip and declared it ‘applied for’. Moreover, the warden forcefully took his ID card in his possession and refused to return it until fine is paid. Sher Muhammad protested that he has been fined for not giving free ice-cream to the warden, which is sheer injustice. The citizen appealed Chief Traffic Officer Rai Ijaz to take an action against the warden concerned and return his ID card.
