Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2018) : The three co-accused in Ishaq Dar corruption case escaped indictment for the fifth time on Tuesday. Accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir conducted hearing of the case. The co-accused National Bank president Saeed Ahmad and Hajveri Modaraba director Naeem Mehmood appeared before the court. Non-bailable arrest warrant was issued against the other director Mansoor Raza Rizvi as he failed to appear before the court.

His lawyer Javed Akbar Shah requested the court for respite in the proceedings. The judge asked the lawyer to speak respectfully and show them his papers. "Will you shoot me?" replied the lawyer. The court called for Rizvi thrice and issued non-bailable arrest warrants over non-appearance. Meanwhile, high court bar president Javed Akbar Shah was issued a showcause notice over inappropriate behaviour. The court then adjourned the hearing till April 5. While talking to media, Javed Shah maintained that he had asked to delay the hearing over death of a relative but the judge rejected it. "The judge begun the hearing before time. I went outside to consult with my client after the judge's permission but the hearing was adjourned and warrants were issued in my absence," he said.
