Punjab Minister for Schools Education, Rana Mashhood Ahmad formally launched provincial government's school enrollment campaign 2018 during a ceremony held at Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development (QAED) here on Monday.
Lahore, (Pakistan Point News - 2nd Apr, 2018) : Punjab Minister for Schools Education, Rana Mashhood Ahmad formally launched provincial government's school enrollment campaign 2018 during a ceremony held at Quaid-e-Azam academy for Educational Development (QAED) here on Monday. Secretary Schools Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik, Special Secretary Rana Hassan Akhtar, Chief Executive Officers of District Education Authorities as well as teacher and academicians among others largely attended the ceremony.
Rana Mashhood electronically entered the Names of Hassan Ali and Eman Fatima at a tablet to enter their names for two public sector schools. Both the kids were also given gift hampers containing books. Addressing the meeting, the Minister Schools Education said that media and other stakeholders should come forward to make this campaign a success. He reiterated the performance of the Punjab government in schools education sector and said that government reforms have help to improve the quality of public sector schools in different ways.
He said that historic educational budget will be presented by the Punjab government this year as well. He asked the parents to make education top priority for their kids. He said that around 5 lakh girls are enrolled in schools in 16 southern districts through Khadim-e-Punjab Cards. These girls are being given stipends as well, he added. Rana Mashhood said that other provinces are following the Punjab model and they have also appreciated our digital monitoring system. In fact, Punjab is the only province which has been sending best students from across the country to study at best universities of the world, he concluded. Earlier, Secretary Schools Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik presented the address of welcome and highlighted different features of performance of schools education department.
