According to the media sources, Shahrah-e-Dastoor situated in front of the Parliament House was opened after the order of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the Prime Minister of Pakistan. At the time of Gen. Pervez Musharaf’s political era, it was closed to the general public. Now people can travel easily from the red zone area freely. All the barriers are removed for the easy and safe traveling of citizens. A huge number of policemen have been instructed to give duty in the particular zone.
