The new office-bearers of the Academic Staff Association (ASA) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore were sworn in here on Thursday
LAHORE (Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2018 ) The new office-bearers of the Academic Staff Association (ASA) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore were sworn in here on Thursday. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the oath-taking ceremony and administered oath to the office-bearers. The newly elected office-bearers are Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf (president), Dr Arshad Javed (vice-president), Dr Hafsa Zaneb (general secretary), Dr Iahtasham Khan (joint secretary) and Dr Muhammad Tayyab (finance secretary).
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor congratulated the new office-bearers and urged them to work for the welfare and development of the academic staff of the university. The Vice-Chancellor supported all their faculty welfare steps. He also lauded the efforts of UVAS faculty members and their services for the development of university. He said faculty is the real identity of the university. In Times Higher education World University Ranking and QS World Top University Ranking, he said, the UVAS has been ranked not only among the top Asian universities but also among the world university ranking due to the collective efforts of university faculty.
Earlier Prof Dr Kamran Asharf talked about the welfare steps of the university. He lauded the role of UVAS teaching staff, who are working day and night for the progress of the university. He appreciated the university leadership’s dynamics role in the infrastructure development on all campuses and achievements of the university.
