Six more dengue cases surface in Jaranwala, tally mounts to 35

Six more dengue cases were surfaced in Jaranwala on Saturday after which tally has mounted to 35. Two children suffering from chickenpox were also hospitalized.

Jaranwala, (Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2018) : Six more dengue cases were surfaced in Jaranwala on Saturday after which tally has mounted to 35. Two children suffering from chickenpox were also hospitalized. Health Department said that six people including Shahnawaz, Hassan Walayat, Abdullah, Zaham Abbas, Suriya Bibi, Umer Hayat and Uzma Ijaz hailing from different areas and shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Jaranwala were found affected with dengue virus.

With recent cases tally of dengue cases has mounted to 35. Two children Urooj Fatima 05, and her three-year-old brother Hassan affected of Chickenpox were also hospitalized. The Health Department said that steps were being taken to overcome the dengue fever and chickenpox across the district, especially the areas of Jaranwala affected most of the two diseases. Vaccination campaign against dengue and chickenpox has also been launched in the said areas, the health officials said.
