Germany considers Pakistan a trusted ally: Dr Jens Jokisch

Deputy Head of Mission at German Embassy, Dr Jens Jokisch on Friday said that Pakistani youth should equipped with modern vocational skills to make its products compatible with international standard.

FAISALABAD, (Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2018) : Deputy Head of Mission at German Embassy, Dr Jens Jokisch on Friday said that Pakistani youth should equipped with modern vocational skills to make its products compatible with international standard. Talking to a delegation of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), he said that German organization GIZ was already working in Pakistan for the last many years to provide fundamental skills to its work force.

He said that two countries were trusted trading partners, adding that bilateral trade between the two countries stood at 2.6 billion Euros during last year. He said that many German companies were successfully contributing their role for uplift Pakistani economy. President FCCI, Shabbir Hussain Chawla said that many government institutions were imparting skills with the help of GIZ and other NGOs supported by donor organizations. “However, we must adopt new technologies to improve the quality of our exportable surplus in addition to entering into emerging field of technical textile," he said. Former President FCCI, Engineer Suhail Bin Rasheed and Ms Quratul Ain also spoke on the occasion. Later, Engineer Suhail Bin Rasheed presented shield to Dr Jens Jokisch.
