The audit officials have revealed in the sub committee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) that the National Highway Authority (NHA), Ministry of Communication, has awarded a contract of Rs 4.4 billion to a disqualified and ineligible company.

ISLAMABAD, ((Pakistan Point News - 06th Feb, 2018) ): The audit officials have revealed in the sub committee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) that the National Highway Authority (NHA), Ministry of Communication, has awarded a contract of Rs 4.4 billion to a disqualified and ineligible company. The PAC sub committee expressed serious concern and anguish over the ineligibility of the NHA and said why the rules and regulations of Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PEPRA) are not followed. Convener of the committee, Shafqat Mehmood on the occasion said that impartial probe should be conducted in the matter so that the real culprits could come to fore. He said that the fair interrogation would bring facts before the committee.
