ISLAMABAD,(Pakistan Point News - 31st Jan, 2018 ) : Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) executive committee has nominated party leader and former Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar for contesting upcoming senate elections from Punjab. PTI held parliamentary party meeting unanimously decided to nominate Chaudhry Sarwar for the Senate seat from Punjab. Former Punjab governor was informed for contesting senate elections from Punjab and he has sought time for consultations. Election Commission of Pakistan has finalized the election schedule of senate elections 2018. The polling will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Half members of Senate of Pakistan (Senators) are retiring in the month of March. Provincial Assemblies (Punjab, KPK, Balochistan and Sindh) and national assembly members will elect the candidates.
