ISLAMABAD,(Pakistan Point News - 30th Jan, 2018 ) : Thousands of examiners of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) start getting enhanced remuneration for their duties, it was stated here on Tuesday. The revised package, effective from spring, 2017 semester, was approved by the University’s Executive Council on the recommendations of the finance committee. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui said the package was revised with the hope that tutors will maintain quality of assessment of the assignments sent to them by their allotted students.
The University gives them best and expect best from them as well in doing tutorship duties, he said adding interaction between tutors-students should be made a regular feature. The enhanced financial package is part of qualitative improvement brought about in the university’s overall examination system, during the last three years. The increase will also be applied to paper-marking staffers and thousands of university tutors who are engaged in various academic programs.
Those who will take benefit of the increase included the staff deputed on the conduct of exams and papers’ evaluation. Allied staff of lower grade will also get the benefit. According to a notification, utility charges that occur in the conduct of examination and papers’ evaluation process have also been increased. Meanwhile, the University's regional offices throughout the country have completed the process of appointing tutors for spring semester, 2018.
