Teachers’ role in character building vital: Rector IIUI

Rector International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai has said that said that teachers play a leading role in character building of students. He lauded significant role of teachers for nurturing the youngsters on the aspects of science and technology.

ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News - 25th Jan, 2018) : Rector International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai has said that said that teachers play a leading role in character building of students. He lauded significant role of teachers for nurturing the youngsters on the aspects of science and technology. He stated this while addressing as chief guest at the concluding session of the 78th Islamic Training Program for Teachers organized by Dawah Academy, IIUI, at the faisal Masjid campus of the university on Thursday.

Dr. Masoom said that intolerance is the cause of contention which has brutally prevailed in our society, while presently social media is being used as a tool by the anti islam elements, misguiding the youth of our nation. The Rector IIUI said that teachers can play a pivotal role in upbringing the character of youth and in the current scenario a teacher should guide the students to use social media in the right way. Dr. Masoom hailed the role of Dawah academy for organizing such teachers training. During the ceremony, Director General, Dawah Academy, Dr. Sohail Hassan, also expressed his views while Riaz Ahmed Farooqi a representative of trainees also spoke on the occasion. In the end certificates were distributed among the course participants.
