OPC intervention, expatriate gets back possession of land worth Rs18.5mln

Due to intervention and efforts of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, an expatriate Pakistani on Wednesday got back possession of agricultural land worth Rs 18.5 million.

LAHORE, (Pakistan Point News - 24th Jan, 2018) : Due to intervention and efforts of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, an expatriate Pakistani on Wednesday got back possession of agricultural land worth Rs 18.5 million. Vice Chairperson OPC Shaheen Khalid Butt and Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti informed that Muhammad Razzaq, settled in USA, lodged a complaint with OPC that some persons have forcefully occupied his wife's six acres agricultural land, situated in village 254, Sundh Rajan, District Toba Tek Singh.

This complaint was referred to District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) Toba Tek Singh and with the help of members of DOPC, possession of the land was handed over to its original owner. Shaheen Khalid Butt and Afzaal Bhatti further told that OPC is vigorously pursuing the complaints of Overseas Pakistanis and so far relief has been provided to thousands of expatriates.
