KOHAT,  (Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2018) : Three First Information Reports (FIRs) have been lodged at two police stations in Kohat over pursuing anti-Pakistan agenda, the local police said. The FIRs were lodged against the former ambassador over hate speeches and authoring books and articles against Pakistan’s armed forces and its sovereignty. The complainants, Momin, Muhammad Asghar and Shamsul Haq, lodged the case at Cantonment and Bilitang police stations.

The FIRs accuse the former ambassador of peddling the enemy’s propaganda against Pakistan “which is threatening the peace of Pakistan.” Asghar mentioned Haqqani as a “mentor of the Memogate scandal” and said he had issued visas to CIA and Indian agents while serving as Pakistani ambassador to the US, according to the Bilitang police. Asghar argued in his application that Haqqani is a traitor as he traduced Pakistan in his articles and books. The sections of the Pakistan Penal Code invoked in the FIRs are 120B (hatching a criminal conspiracy) and 121A (waging a war against Pakistan).
