KARACHI:(Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2018) Crackdown against criminal elements continues in Karachi as 36 suspects were taken into custody during police search operation in Sarjani Town Sector-36 area on Sunday night. A heavy contingent of police took part in the search operation. Police sources said that all the entry and exit points were sealed before the start of search operation. According to SP Orangi, police also used biometric device for the identification of the residents and arrested 32 suspects during house-to-house search.
Sources further said that the arrested persons were shifted to police station for further investigation. Meanwhile, the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) personnel arrested four extortionists of a political party during a crackdown in Korangi. The detainees were being interrogated at concerned police stations and more arrests were expected as investigation will proceed, the police officials said.
