Speaking to reporters ahead of Portugal's Round of 16 match against Spain, the 41-year-old said he intends to savour every moment of the tournament and hopes to extend his campaign for as long as possible.
Ronaldo said he would retire from international football with no regrets, stressing that he has always given his maximum effort for Portugal and the game.
"I play because of my passion for football. I don't feel I have anything left to prove," he said.
The veteran forward has scored three goals at the tournament so far.
