Separate merit lists have been issued for the morning and evening shifts for nursing colleges in Punjab
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Jan, 29, 2026) The University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Thursday released the first selection lists for admissions to government nursing colleges across Punjab for the four-year BS Nursing degree programme, revealing high competition among candidates this year.
Separate merit lists have been issued for the morning and evening shifts.
The highest merit was recorded at the College of Nursing, Shahdara Hospital, Lahore, the province’s only nursing college for boys, where the closing merit stood at 93.5455 percent for the morning shift and 93.4167 percent for the evening shift.
The lowest closing merit was observed at the College of Nursing, DHQ Hospital, Khushab. For this institution, the minimum merit was 86.9167 percent for the morning shift and 86.0833 percent for the evening shift.
According to UHS, the selection lists are available on the university’s official website. A spokesperson said that candidates selected in the first list must deposit their admission fees by February 2.
Across Punjab, a total of 45 government nursing colleges are offering admissions this year, with 3,100 seats allocated for the morning shift and 3,000 seats for the evening shift.
