Professor Rathore says Christmas carries a timeless message of love, peace, forgiveness, and hope, values that are deeply needed in today’s society
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Dec 23rd, 2025) The University of Health Sciences (UHS) celebrated Christmas with a special event that highlighted interfaith harmony, mutual respect, and shared values of peace and compassion. Vice Chancellor UHS Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore joined Christian staff members in cutting a Christmas cake and extended warm greetings to the Christian community.
The ceremony was attended by faculty members, officers, and employees of the university. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Rathore said that Christmas carries a timeless message of love, peace, forgiveness, and hope, values that are deeply needed in today’s society. He emphasized that harmony among religions is essential for lasting peace and said that UHS provides an inclusive and respectful work environment for people of all faiths.
The Vice Chancellor also announced that all Christian employees of UHS have been granted a special Christmas bonus along with their salaries.
He said the gesture reflects the university’s appreciation of their services and its desire to share in their festive joy.
