Doodle represents major December festivities, including Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and New Year’s celebrations
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Dec 1st, 2025) Google has launched a vibrant and eye-catching Doodle to mark the beginning of December. Titled “Seasonal Holidays 2025,” the Doodle highlights traditional annual celebrations observed worldwide throughout the month.
The Doodle represents major December festivities, including Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and New Year’s celebrations. Designed with animated lights, it evokes the spirit of celebration and festivity.
This year’s Doodle is non-religious and emphasizes global unity, harmony, and brotherhood, sending a message of inclusivity to users across the world. Typically, such Doodles are displayed throughout December or appear intermittently to mark specific holidays.
Google’s first-ever Doodle appeared in 1998, when founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin modified the Google logo with a small change during the Burning Man Festival to indicate an “out of office” message. Over time, Doodles evolved to celebrate heroes, cultural events, historical milestones, and global occasions.
In 2000, Google released its first international Doodle for Bastille Day in France. The same year, the company introduced animation for the first time in a Halloween Doodle—a feature that has since become standard in many Google Doodles.
In addition, Google launched the “Doodle for Google” competition to encourage creativity among K–12 students, which has grown into the longest-running Google contest globally.
