Rawalpindi reports 1 new dengue case in 24 hours

No deaths this season; total cases reach 1,538 as surveillance teams intensify checks and thousands of larva hotspots detected.

RAWALPINDI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Nov,17, 2025) Rawalpindi reported just one dengue case in the past 24 hours, according to health department sources. Officials confirmed that no dengue-related deaths have occurred during the current season.

A total of 23,505 individuals have been screened so far, with district-wide confirmed dengue cases reaching 1,538. Currently, 12 patients are under treatment in various hospitals.

Dengue surveillance continues through 1,361 teams across the district. Authorities have inspected over 6.39 million homes, identifying 213,729 dengue-larva hotspots. Additionally, 1.95 million outdoor sites were checked, with 29,232 testing positive for larvae.

Overall, 242,981 dengue larvae have been recovered. For violations of dengue SOPs, 4,652 FIRs have been registered, 1,945 premises sealed, and 3,767 challans issued.
